Cada flor tiene / Every flower has
2016, HD video, 6 minutes
Cada flor tiene / Every flower has is a sonic portrait of a moment spent peeling banana flowers. Made in response to the film, The Poetics of Fragility (Nicolas Grandi and Lata Mani, 2016), the piece explores the unfolding of a conversation between the artist and her grandmother. Moving associatively through different sonic and verbal cues, the flowers unfold what, in the film (Poetics...) are noted as “a myriad intimacies, largely unknown”: Parkinson's, work, nerves, air, honey, language, memory.
